Icon5 Leaf Springs and Tires?

I have a 1992 Ford Ranger with a 2.3L engine. The truck is completely stock. It has a broken leaf spring on the rear driver's side. It currently has 2/1 leaf springs. I was wondering if I could put 3/1 leaf springs on without any issues. I was hoping to make the ride a little more smoother and stable. I can get the 3/1 leaf springs cheaper than the 2/1.

My other question is: what tire size would be recommended when the speedometer doesn't show the actual speed? The truck currently has 205/75R14 tires. The speedometer is showing 5mph above the actual speed. I know this because I compared it to a GPS speed app on my phone in addition to driving past the Highway Patrol radar speed sign. The tires that are on it are the tire size that was on it when I bought it. I didn't know if I could go with a taller tire and if that would look ridiculous.

I've had Fords all my life and have yet to own one that had an accurate speedometer.... They have always displayed higher (1-6MPH) than actual speeds.
