Diameter of Rear Leaf Springs Bushings

Hey Y'all,

Trying to swap out the rear leafing springs rubber bushings on my 2002 Ranger 4.0L for some polyurethane. Truck en route, not yet on hand but I wanted parts to be ordered for when it gets here. I understand there are a couple different OD and bolt diameters for bushing kits through the years, but I was wondering if anyone knew what years correspond to what sizes. Otherwise, I'd just have to wait and measure sizes once it gets here.

Thanks for any input.

Did you ever get an answer to this? I'm in the same situation.

I did not get a definitive answer. I purchased a bushing kit from Energy Suspensions and rolled with it. Everything worked out. Let me see if I can find the kit I used and I'll shoot you the diameter stuff.

Ok. So I found the kit I used. https://www.energysuspensionparts.com/4.2156 PN# 4.2156 in Red. I forget how I exactly got to this specific kit as the project was almost a year ago. In any case, while their customer support was not helpful in direct, accurate advice they were friendly and happy to oblige swaps and returns it it did not fit correctly. I actually bought it thru a local AutoZone so I could quickly swap and return in person easily if it did not work. The project became somewhat of a jack in the box. Problems manifested from no where. Massive campaign on rust and corrosion. Have heat and cutting on standby! Project is made infinitely easier if you do the hangers and shackles at the same time as the bushings. Take the bed off. Reach out if you got more q's.
