OBDLink MX+ and Apps - Recommendations?

Hello team. I am in need of time series data for my fuel trims (solving for a P0171 & P0174 in the 3.0 Tech section of the forum here) so I ordered the OBDLink MX+.

I will get it later today and start messing with it, I have an iPhone and a laptop - anyone have this scanner and recommend any good applications for it?

I hear FORScan is a good one, will start checking them out this evening but if there are any pro tips you could afford, I’d gladly listen.

Cheers,
RT

Forscan is one of the better DYI softwares to use
You do need an OBD2/USB cable to hook it up to a vehicle and laptop, although some have been able to use Bluetooth OBD2 readers with tablets

There is a good Forscan forum here: https://forscan.org/forum/

Have the OBDLink MX+ (note MX+ is BlueTooth~SmartPhone so cant use full ForScan PC app with MX+, need EX)
along with the items below:
OBDLink#MX+ Module with WirelessBTto AndroidPhonwith OBDLinkApp+ ForScanLite+ TorquePro
* Reads+Resets+Graphs both StandardSAE & ProprietaryOEM Data
* DashBoardMode for viewing Temps & Signals while Driving
* Used for Routine Maintenance & DailyMonitoring
OBDLink#EX Module with CabledUSBto WindowsPCwith OBDLinkWiz+ ForScanLLE
* Reads+Resets+Graphs+Configures both StandardSAE & ProprietaryOEM Data
* Faster & easier than ToggleSwitch ELM327 ComsModules
* Used for InDepth Maintenance & Configurations
Above ODB2 items are personal preference; there are many options which vary widely in cost & function.
Very happy with these OBD2 tools & apps; have likely saved me several thousand $s, being able to diagnos+repair myself.

It is definitely night and day versus the sampling of my Autel scanner, although great value there too.

So far I have spent some time with OBDLink itself and I can kind of get where I want to with it.

Admittedly have not tried FORScan yet but will soon, appreciate the tips for sure!

Thanks,
RT
