92 Ranger XLT 4.0 V6 No Fuel Pressure, Cranks, no start
I am having issues with having 0 fuel pressure and no start in my 92 Ranger XLT 4.0 V6. I've replaced the fuel pump and fuel regulator but still no pressure and no start. Here is everything I've replaced on my truck in the past few months the starter, starter selenoid, clutch position sensor, battery, fuel pump, fuel regulator, fuel filter, and all liquids besides brake and clutch fluid. And if you are wondering, yes it has gas in it. The truck hasn't been started in about a decade.... the engine isn't seized up and it has 26k miles. I'm completely stumped on this it would be appreciated if anyone could help.

Welcome to the forum
The starter motor circuit is separate from engine operation, so starter can crank engine just fine without computer or any other systems being on, just FYI
12v battery--Fuel pump fuse-------fuel pump relay------------inertia switch----------------------------------------Fuel pump
30amp fuel pump fuse is in the engine bay fuse box
Fuel pump relay is UNDER engine bay fuse box, should be 2 relays and a 3rd if there is factory AC
Brown relay is EEC relay
Green relay is fuel pump relay
Black relay is AC relay
Brown EEC relay comes on with key on and powers up the EEC(computer) and most engine 12v systems, like injectors and fuel pump relay(not the pump just the relay)
When computer gets power it will turn on the CEL(check engine light) on the dash, no CEL means no computer and no fuel
So first thing is to make sure computer powers up, CEL comes on
Computer will ground the fuel pump relay for 2 seconds only when it first powers up(CEL on)
And you should HEAR the fuel pump in the gas tank run for those 2 seconds, its not quiet
Repeat key off and then on as much as needed to confirm you hear the pump or do not hear the pump, assuming CEL is coming on
If there is no sound from the gas tank then check the fuse, pull it out and look at it
Next will be the fuel pump relay
Location seen here: https://www.2carpros.com/images/ques...0/original.jpg
You will need to check it, unplug it and look at contacts
If you can have a friend turn on the key you should hear the EEC relay click closed and then feel/hear the fuel pump relay click closed a moment later and then open again after 2 seconds
If fuel pump relay doesn't click closed then could be computer issue, failed capacitors, easy to replace
At the end of the fuse box or hanging on the main wiring harness will be the OBD1 connectors
They look like this: https://www.therangerstation.com/tec...v_testing2.gif
Fuel pump slot in the larger connector is shown
If you GROUND that slot to battery Negative and turn on the key then fuel pump relay will click closed full time and fuel pump should be heard running in the tank
If so, then computer will need to be pulled out and inspected
You can start the engine with this jumper wire in place to see if fuel pump power is the only issue
Inside the passenger side of cab, behind glove box and bolted to the firewall is the Inertia switch, it is there to cut 12v power to fuel pump if there is an accident or roll over
It has a RED button on the top that will pop up if it is tripped, it can be pushed back down and that will restore connection of the 12v power to fuel pump
Its fairly obvious if red button has popped up, and unlikely unless vehicle has been in a previous accident or roll over
