I am new to this forum and have minimal mechanical knowledge, so my apologies if anything isn't totally correct. I have a 2009 Ford Ranger that was having starting issues. I changed my own fuel filter then the mechanic changed the fuel pump about a week/week and a half ago. The truck started for a week ago and has just now stopped turning on again. It won't even turn over now, no beeping indicating power either. The battery was changed in April 2023, spark plugs were changed in September 2022. I just don't want to be screwed over by another mechanic.

First things first;
re-confirm your year make model engin trans ... all found in your owners manual.
Wishfull thinking that any Ranger ever came with a 6.0L; that'd be a monster of an engin.
Suspect you've got a V6~4.0L~SOHC engin;
No crank &\or no start condition could be caused by any of several issues;
but again start with correctly describing what you own so others have even a slight chance of helping.

 

That was my first thought. Either wishful thinking, a typo or an engine transplant.

Starting issue???
You describe two different "No starts"

If engine can be turned by starter motor then battery is OK, but if it won't start up then no fuel or no spark

If engine doesn't turn then Battery issue or Flashing THEFT light on the dash
Remove and Clean battery cables and terminals, then try to start again
