Cutting coil springs 95 static ranger

I am NOT a mechanic. I am not very experienced. I know nothing about suspension other than the basic mechanics.
im static dropping my 95 ranger (for now).
I’ve done the rear flip and I’m going to cut my front coils…
I know I should buy drop springs and dream beams but wait a sec…. What did people do before there was an aftermarket support? Haven’t people cut springs for decades? So why is everyone on Facebook acting like I’m killing a man when I say I want a 3 inch drop from cutting my springs?
One guy started rattling off about horrible camber and un-drivable toe out. What?
I don’t see the issue… I’ve seen at least 30 trucks with cut springs that look and drive fine. So what the hell?

what’s the truth. Is it actually going to be un drivable? I understand odd wear patters are a possibility but they’re acting like I’m welding a 240sx subframe to it with a microwave…

what’s the difference from cutting springs and drop springs? (Other than spring rate and overall ride quality, like bottoming out)
I’m not touching anything other than the springs, so what all will it affect? Other than the actual ride height and ride quality as stated before.

should I just give up? Or ignore the armchair mechanics who think they know everything, and keep playing old school and do what I can for now.

I want to be clear that eventually I’ll buy the dream beams and springs, and I’m going bags in the future anyway so…

any help is appreciated TIA

But you think you know better than those that do.... Save your money and do the job right the first time.
