I have this swap complete and running. The last thing I need to work out is coolant gauge. Does anyone have info on coolant senders for both applications.
03 4.0 sohc engine
00 ranger that had 3.0 vulcan engine.
I need to modify the 03 4.0 coolant temp sender to run the 00 gauge.

 

They both used the same Red/White wire to the cluster's temp gauge, may(should) also have a Black/white ground wire with it
On the 3.0l it was at the front of lower intake, on the 4.0l SOHC its on the thermostat housing with the ECT sensor, green and grey wires

Just need to find that red/white wire, ground it, turn on the key and TEMP gauge should go up to HOT, if so its the right wire and it's good, lol
Because the 4.0l's thermostat housing is plastic the temp sender also needs a Ground wire, if you can't find it(black/white wire) then make one
