Ok so I've sourced a good 2004 4.0sohc explorer engine and am planning on installing it into an 08 ranger 4wd. am I correct in understanding that I need to swap all accessories to install in my current truck (basically strip it down to block and heads) and reuse mine from the 08 from what I've read the long block should swap?? I'm attempting to save some money because it's a cheap 200$ truck that's going to be used for hauling stuff

 

That is my understanding too. The mounts for all the electronics and EGR may be a little different, but you should be able to figure that out.
