Re gear 2010 ford ranger 4×4 4.0

Can I fit a 4.56 gear pack into the stock housing in the front and rear differential. I have 3.37 in the front not 100 percent sure about the rear diff stock gear. Wanted to run 33' or 35's but didn't want to mess up my torsion bars and other stuff with bigger tires. Planned on lifted it 5 inches and wanted to put on 33's at least but wanted to re gear as to not mess up my transmission.

The 4.56 gears are ideal with 33" tires and a manual or automatic transmission. They will be okay with 35" tires with an automatic. I have 4.56 gears in my stock differential housings. You need to get a special pin or grind a clearance on one of the ring gear teeth for the rear differential to get the cross-pin in. The shop that installed mine elected to grind the clearance on the ring gear, with my permission.

I have a 02 FX4, but I don't think the differential housing is any different than other Rangers. The wheel bearings are larger but that should not make any difference on the gears. My axles are 31 spline but that shouldn't make any difference either as long as you order the gears that match your spline count.
