Shift knob removal
Shift **** removal
all, just bought my ranger, I hate the stock shift ****, I purchased a new "universal" ****, but can't figure out how to reove the old one. I hate to destroy the stock **** in the process of removal in case the new one does not work. I am new to this stuff, so any help would be great.

If you're gonna pitch the old shift ****, I'd be interested in buying it from you...
its glued on, normally on a really nice hot day around 90 you can just pull it off. in the winter/fall good luck... keep pulling and it will come off and smack you in the face..dont ask my how i know this...
I messed with it yesterday, pulled the cap with the shift pattern on it and just got baffled. I have a 95 if that makes a difference, but I think I will put my 11 year old on it, he is great a taking things apart, my job is putting them back together. thanx again for all of the help
