Removing steering wheel

How do you remove a steering wheel ? I have the air bag out. There a big warning sticker something about improper removing may result in death. Earl has a steeting wheel remover.

There are two plastic covers on the sides of the steering column. Pull those off and take out the bolts holding the airbag in. You should also remove the positive cable of the battery to prevent accidental discharge of the air bags. From there, I think you need to unclip the wiring harnesses for the cruise control, make sure the wheel is pointed straight ahead (to set the clockspring properly) and then remove the bolt in the middle of the wheel. If I remember right it is a torx head bolt. After that, you put the shaft of the wheel puller in the middle where the bolt was, and latch one arm of the puller onto each little slot (either top and bottom or left and right, I don't remember, but it should be labeled) and start tightening the shaft with a rachet. It will slowly pull the wheel off, and you'll be set.

I'm going COMPLETELY from memory here, and it's been quite some time (about a year or so I guess) since I've done this, but it ought to atleast give you a start. There's not much to it.

Yup, 2-jaw. On mine, the hub had markings showing where to position the puller jaws.

Sorry, it's long gone. Got $80 bucks for the bare wheel and $200 for the airbag on eBay.
