4.0 SOHC performance parts....

...Who makes stuff for the 4.0 SOHC internally? I already know about supersixmotorsports.com, but does anyone else do anything? I want cams, but what about anything else? I don't really want any boost or nitrous, just a couple more horses out of my motor. Ive got headers, full exhaust minus a cat, intake, and tuner. Please help!! Anyone know somebody that can regrind my cams?

I've been diggin and have found that ford makes an all aluminum 4.0 sohc in the 06-07 Land Rover LR3s, it says it makes 216 horses and 269 ft lbs torque....problem is I can't find one in a junk yard online.

Because they are all european based and not too many people have destroyed them over here yet lol

Check out super six motorsports. Google them for the site.

I am running their heads, cams, headstuds, and a few other tricks.

Nickster is running the same as above with a seasoned block, pistons, explorer express supercharger and a few other mods as well.

I just don't think everything should be so hard with these engines. Now they are in the mustangs and have been in explorers since 97.

Are the rotating assemblies the same in the ohv and the sohc? if so, I will be stroking this thing sooner.

What kind of ponies are you running with the new heads and cams?

who makes an underdrive pulley?

anyone know about getting a bigger throttle body for these too? like maybe from a new v6 mustang, I heard they have a 65 mm one, I just don't know how big the ranger one is.

I know this thread is ancient, but it came up in my bing results so I thought I would do a reply anyway. In addition to supersix, there is a company out there called tom morana racing. moranav6racing.com. He produces cams, heads, intake manifolds, oversize throttle bodies, stroker kits, pistons, phenolic intake gaskets and for ohvs roller rockers too. moranav6racing.com
