Check gage light and no oil pressure reading

This usually happens when the truck is cold, or the first start of the day, but for the first min or so i get a check gage light and 0 reading for the oil pressure. I know i have oil pressure since the truck still drives and the light has been coming on for over 2 years now, but i am finally tired of it.

I've heard of some sensors going bad, but where is it? what should i look for?

thanks

I'm not familiar with the 4.0L.. but they are almost always screwed right into the side of the engine block. Come to think of it.. every one I've ever seen has aways been on the drivers side too.

The 4.0L OP sending switch is on the driver side of the block below the A/C compressor. You can see it through the wheel well or from underneath. Look for a green/white wire.
