Well, like the title says, I picked up a new ride last Thursday from Pittsburg. I need something that can fit a baby seat, and can tow trailers a little bit better. Hopefully this will fit the bill. Besides, I used to have an '88, and I love these things. This one is in extremely good shape:

-'96 Ford Bronco
-5.8ltr V8
-Leather interior
-No previous mods (other than the grandpa running boards and bug shield)
-ONLY 50,000 MILES!!
-Extremely clean

Man that thing is clean not even any rust in the tailgate. When I bought the ranger I looked for one but could not find one to my liking.

Very nice! I still have my 93 FSB with the 5.8L and love it. Not as much as my Ranger, but still. Couple problem areas, the starters love to go out on them at random. I've had mine go, my buddy LT had his go, and my other buddy Tommy had his go as well. Also, watch the front end alignment. They like to go out as well. I recommend invest in a K&N FIPK system for it. Gas milage is drastically changed with them. I went from 8 MPG to around 16 by installing it. Congrats, looks awesome.

That thing is cleaner than my wife's 2001 car and she is OCD about cleaning things.

 

That is a nice lookin bronco, looks like you just got it brand new from the dealership...i have a 96 too, i wish it was 1/4 as good looking as yours..lol

This has absolutely NO rust or corrosion anywhere.... I'm going to try and lift it, with bumpers and selectable lockers so I can take if off road once in a while...

How do you think it would look with black bumpers, wheels, tires? That's what I'd really like to do.. Otherwise maybe I'll just put on black or silver bumpers and keep the chrome wheels... What do you think???

 

One is on my list, although I'm going to try and get one that's not oiled...

Very Sharp! I don't even know if I've seen a new one look that good.

 

Just a receiver hitch and brake controller for now... But once I get my garage done:
-6" lift (maybe do it right and go straight to SAS?)
-Front and rear bumpers (buy the front, build the rear)
-New guages for the A-pillar (oil, water, trans temp)

As for gas, I know it will get worse normal driving, but when I'm towing, I think it will actually do better than the ranger. And anymore, I'm towing something about 75% of the time I'm driving my truck... I drive a old '90 Oldsmobile everywhere else.. 25mpg baby... Yeah!

 

I think the chrome wheels look good. I would stick with them. But maybe something with some backspacing to stick those wheels out a little more would look better.

if you want to lift it, i would recommend doing a SAS right off the bat....in the long run, it will be cheaper than a TTB lift.....and with it already having the steering box, coil buckets, and everything, a SAS would almost be a bolt in out of a '78-'79 Bronco or a '70s model F-150.....and any lift they make for a '70s F-150 or '78-'79 Bronco will fit it.....you can get up to 9.5" with a Superlift kit and 8" with a Skyjacker kit for a straight axle...

if you do a SAS, go ahead and swap in the Ford 9" rear end also......

 

Why would I want to swap in a 9" for a 8.8"? The 8.8 should be plenty strong enough right? I didn't even think a 9" was any stronger in it's stock form?
