Ford suggests 30 psi. I run 35 psi to give me a little boost in MPG. The firmer you make the tire the better your MPG, but the quicker the centers will wear.
the max pressure is what the tire can handle before the sidewalls want to die, it doesn't mean it's the best pressure to run 'em at. I'd stay within range between Ford and malydeen...30-35PSI.
on our van it says 30 psi and we keep those at 28 because it rides smoother. on the saturn it also says 30 but we keep those at 38 for the MPG boost, because that runs almost 100 miles a day.
The door jam/manual is for STOCK tires. I run my 275 BFGs at 45 hot. Ive dropped down to 35 a few times but ive noticed a loss of MPG under the same driving conditions.
