Type of Silicone that gas wont eat at question

Im almost ready to install my fuel cell..and i need to get something to seal the top of the cell with the adapter and the pump..

i can either get some type of silicone RV sealer stuff or get some foam that i can sandwich between..

BUT

my big thing is finding some that gasoline wont eat overtime..i need it leak on me

SO..

What things do you guys recommend?

Evan, RTV silicone, black, blue, or red, is NOT what you need. That type of gasket silicone swells a good bit when immersed in gasoline, which is what you don't want. You are going to have to buy some junk online, probably.

I'd run a gasket underneath the adapter, then run some silicone around the edge of the gasket. What fuel cell and adapter is it? theres probably already a gasket out there that will fit right on.
