I was on my way to work, when I hit the brakes they made this really bad grinding sound and the whole truck was shaking, so I got it back home and took off the right front tire. It turns out that the lower caliper bracket bolt some how came out and when I hit the brakes it was pushing the caliper into the wheel. But I got a temporary wheel and a bolt from a local junk yard until I can get a new one. That was my bad day.

Wow that's crazy. Reason why a lot of people use loc-tite on those bolts as well. Sorry that this happened but at least it wasn't worse.

have fun getting the bolts back out...
if the bolts are torqued to spec they shouldn't back out.

look on here for a used wheel, it will list all of the local junkyards that have the part.

My buddy torqued those bolts to spec and had the same thing happen to him. He use loctite the second time and it hasn't backed out since.

call and ask if they will ship it.

aluminum wheels only cost about $10-$20 to ship.

This happened to me a while back. Made a pinhole in the rin. So I covered it with duct tape, and put a tube in it. No problems in almost a year. Mine was also a loose caliper bolt.
