just sold the ranger a couple days ago,got 2500 for it,did not want to but i have some bills to pay no other choice, the guy who bought it is shipping it to mexico lol. i know i will miss it,but i will buy another ranger someday.

 

sucks man but those 4.0s kill gas .... maybe get a new 3l for the next one.

whatever i hear about people with the brand new 3.0s getting 24 mpg highway! Thats what my 2.5l gets!

never heard of anyone breaking 20mpg with a 4l

And, Melt, my 07 3.0 gets 18 MPG with only 30k on it. My 4.0 OHV got 20 even with 33's and 100k on it.

 

I dont think his crown vic would get much more MPG with a v8 in it.

 

I get instantenously 24mpg on the higway with my 4L

 

my 4.0 gets about 14 mpg..

 

they get good gas mileage

 

Well, good being better then a Ranger. They don't get that great of mileage for a car. 26 right? That's still better then a kick to the nuts!

Must be the 4 wheel drive that kills it. My 3.0 always got around 23 -24 mpg. My 08 4.0 2WD with about 6K on it gets 20 -21mpg. most every time. That's mostly all urban driving.

 

Yeah, my city gets around 12-15... depends on who pisses me off lol

I will once i put my tailgate back on. its not that hard to get 20mpg w/ a 4.0.......

My Diesel gets 30-32 mpg...and it has a turbo...stick that in your pipe and smoke it.

my car gets 25 hwy the best my ranger got was 12,and my car has twice the power.
