I am looking ahead to painting my project truck and trying to decide on how I want it to look. The easy way (and cheaper) is to just paint it red but I am not a fan of red trucks. (sorry red truck guys) Anyway I am thinking of 2 tone or a different color altogether. Anybody have suggestions or pics or red trucks? The bed I am using is also red.

 

I'd say if your going with red just line-x the rockers, there was a white one that did it and it looked good... or do a burgundy with cream rockers 2-tone style.... idk its your truck do as you please

 

Think about Maurice's old ranger.......his was red top, silver middle, red bottom.......on your truck, how about black top, bright red middle, black bottom? Unique color combo imo.

Actually I was thinking of a variation of his truck, either red & black or red & white I was also thinking of an old van halen album for us old guys to remember...hint-red & white

if i were to paint my truck, i'd paint it similar to maurices old one. but i different colors. imo...the middle needs to be a lighter color than the rest of the body.

I do have a soft spot for white top, silver middle, white bottom, w/ red pinstripe seperating the two colors. Dodge FTW!

Yeah thats kinda what I was thinking about. Not the whole truck just some accents or stripes. Anybody good with photoshop?

 

My dad has the same truck, just leveled (2wd) with 33's. I love the color, not sure it'd look good on a Ranger tho.

I say do it like the hurst edition ranger. Will be the simplest and looks badass!

 

whatever color you go with, make it 2 tone with the rockers painted, that looks best on these trucks IMO

 

Hey John you what you should do is Paint the whole truck Red then do Black Rockers i've been thinkin about doin that.
