Tell ya what - There is a damn good reason the Ranger is lasting as well as it -always- has.

Affordable, good gas mileage (For those with a light foot), plenty of cargo room for the average Joe, great customizeability, Basic - Its not flashy in that fancy car type of way. Tough, very tough, and its a pickup - no one really needs a big ol full size most of the time unless its work related, or towing big toys all over - heck.. a ranger can handle 2 seadoo's without a problem, or a flatbed full of 4x's

and to think, this never would have even been an issue had ford had made the 'ranger sport trac' instead of the 'explorer sport trac'

Yep Ford is killing it right now, they just upped the production on the F-150s and the Escape's too.

To me I saw the only reason it stuck around for so long is because it was cheap. I know that I would have chosen the Toyota next to it if at the time I made what I make know. Now that I have owned Ranger and know about them I will say that if I were ever to buy one again it would have to be a 97 4wd auto 4.0. The ones after that have gone downhill.

Who really knows. They have been saying redesign and ending production for years now. I'll believe it when I see it. Either way I'm not getting another one.

They need to start sending out the '10's, our dealer is a ghost town they got 15 F250's in last week and had them sold that week, theres no cars, alls they have is like 20 F150's, Raptor and two mustangs....

Maybe they are waiting to see how well this new 2011 Mustang V6 does. Lets face it the 4.0 is outdated. I'd love to have a Ranger with 315hp. But I'm sure the hp will drop slighty in favor of torque which wouldn't be a bad thing.

yeah after that cash for clunkers last day, our ford dealership is wiped out! no rangers no nothing! Really all they have left is a few trucks and most of the more expensive cars/trucks

the only way i'd end up in another ranger is if they redesigned it. more specifically, a redesign for the interior. it needs it bad. and 4 doors. and a v8. then i'd give them my business again.
