700,000 mile ranger...

My sister was out looking to get a new car yesterday since her lease was up. Found this in the showroom of a Ford dealer in Columbus, looks like Ricart Ford. Thought it was pretty interesting...says 706,272 miles...appears to be an '01-'03 XL 4-cyl...

They need to send a letter to ford. I'm sure they might have, but still. 700k is a TON.
I'd like to see all the documentation on that truck tho.
Nice find either way.

Pretty cool seeing such a high mileage truck like that still going. Wonder who was able to rack up that many miles that fast

Who knows....I know I put about 50K a year on my work vehicle and I thought that was a lot...lol. I've had my new Escape for a little over a month and it already has 4500 miles on it.

More proof that the 2.3 is a tough engine. I doubt if the truck is for sale, they probably will just leave it in the showroom as a display. I did see a video on youtube awhile back of a E250 van that a guy used for expedited delivery and lasted 1,250,000 miles or so before the engine finally went....I'll have to look that up

That's pretty crazy! I wonder what kind of maintenance schedule they kept.

I looked on there website for it and it wasn't there so I am guessing they aren't selling it.

It looks like a tire blowout caused that. If you look at the rear of the wheel well, you'll notice damage there, too. My previous truck had the same damage from a blowout, but it didn't damage the front of the fender well.

What do you expect outta a truck that has 700,000 miles? I guess you could call this showroom condition since its back in one...

I'm not surprised. Our local parts store has a few with around 370k on them and they're running fine
