Please tell me you'll get gauges for that thing. Otherwise the mechanical issues it will have will make you wish you had your Ranger back. Get gauges, keep the filters clean, and use good clean oil and it will treat you well. I love mine.

Looks like a nice truck though. How many miles?

I have it off due to the normal flaking of the emblem, i'm trying to stip it down to chrome and re-paint it.

I have not ordered them yet due to the truck being stock, but they will be order in the very near future, and it has 78,000 on it

Leveling kit, 20's and undecided on tire size right now, but they are in the future as well.

Your asking the wrong question lol. But I just replaced the tcase about 8 months ago when it went out, along with 2 rearends, and i was about to lose the tranny or another tcase. I just got tired of messing with it. I have no clue what made the thing eat rearends but it loved to.

Intake, 5in exhaust(which will be here sometime next week), EGR delete, head studs, SCT Programmer tuned by Innovative Diesel Performance, then wheels and tires.

You should skip the intake and get the Edge Insight for gauges IMO. Guages should be the very first thing you do without a doubt. Are you a member of any of the powerstroke forums yet?

My guages are being ordered when my tax return comes in. I'm not gonna spend that much on a edge insight, yes its pretty sweet buy analog guages work just as good. And i'm a member of powerstroke.org

Cool! As long as you've got the right guages I'm sure you'll be very happy with your new 6.0! They are a whole different animal once you get em tuned.

Hate to keep pestering you, but the most important gauges for a 6.0 are EOT, ECT, and fuel PSI. Forget the boost and trans temp for now.

If you don't religiously monitor the delta between the ECT and EOT you'll end up with a failed EGR cooler and headgaskets. If you have low fuel pressure it will kill your injectors in no time.

I won't have to worry about egr cooler or egr valve, I'm deleting egr completely. Now I've thought about getting the quad guage set up and getting fuel pressure. And i still need trans temp and a a curate boost guage. But as far as putting in coolant temp guage and a oil temp guage I'm not sure if the is completely needed once egr is deleted and i either upgrade the oil cooler or rebuild the factory one
