Anyone else ever tried the "Mobile Home Mod?"

I'm amazed that someone would even do this to their Ranger, and somewhat embarrassed that they live and drive in my area!

Yeah I guess it's better than not having anything to live in but it's things like this that give Louisiana such a bad rap and why there are so many stereotypes about us. I will admit it's pretty hilarious though.

Some people are just down on their luck. I never say anything when I see someone living in their car. My dad had to live in his car for 2 years when my mother took him for everything he had. I used to wake him up for work everyday. He also had an (year-round) outdoor shower = gardenhose + washtub.

I feel for that guy though. At least he's got some kind of roof over his head. I bet there's a TON of this kind of thing going on down there after Katrina. God help em..

GB :)

epic, somebody "sympathy burned" the OP.

Trailer parks are gross. It's pretty funny because we have a few up here in my town in Alaska and my little town has tons of jobs/high paying/etc. I see people offering trailers for rent up here for 800/month.

I wouldn't exactly call that a "sympathy burn" but he has a point and I agree with him. I know several people that had to relocate after Katrina, some of them are my closest friends, and some of them had a hard time with it.

None of us really know the guy's story though. He could be a homeless guy with nothing, or it could just be some stupid thing he tried for the heck of it because he didn't want an RV. Since the picture is in a Wendy's parking lot, I think there's a good possibility it's the latter or the two. That's why I think it's a pretty funny picture. I've seen and talked to a few homeless people around here, and they've never been at a Wendy's; they're usually at the grocery store I worked at in high school. If he really is a homeless guy, then I feel for him. If not, then it's a really stupid idea.
