You need the steering extension to drive it...

Had to leave the truck, still not finished. My exhaust looks like hell. Looks like a trip to Scotty's to get that fixed. Not too sure the Waag is gonna be able to go back on, so that makes me mad! Just expected too much and got let down. I've got some progress pics, I'll upload em soon. Taking tomorrow off from work to go help Scott finish the job. Thanks to my buddy Ryan for all his help, Bill "Smashed96gt" for all his help and expertise AND for keeping a smile on his face when I really needed it, and to Scott for his help and use of the shop and tools.

What's going on with the steering extention? They can be stubburn...I find using a little bit of grease and they'll just slide ride into eachother. Steering wheel side first, then the steering box side.

I bet the part is fine, I had to dick with mine for several hours. lol
It is definitely stubborn. My friend and I took turns trying to get the damn thing on for hours and hours like a couple of idiots. Eventually I think turning the wheels and steering wheel, it just slipped on and what point. We were both shocked and looked at each other like, "WTF?!?! Why didn't this work 3 hours ago?!"

Apparently there was a change in connectors between 06 and 07 with the part. I'm getting ready to post a pic of it. It was missing a hole where one needed to be inorder to connect with my year so had to improvise.

False. Marie's '08 is running a steering extention off an '03 truck. Cory's '07 is running a kit off an '02 truck. Several others 06+ bodylifted trucks are running 01-05 kits.

Yes. With no modifications whatsoever.

Just as Brian hinted on, I think Brenda's truck's issue is a simple alignment issue between the steering wheel shaft and the rack and pinion shaft. It's pretty stubburn and can be a pain. Biggest pain in my BL was the steering extention.
