Buggy's broken tie rod.....full roll of electrical tape, wrench, pliers....w/pics

So I ended up busting an outer tie rod in the dunes and had to get the buggy back to camp.

One full roll of electrical tape, crescent wrench, pliers, tie down strap and more electrical tape later.... WE got it back, my mess intact.

Zip ties are also good to use for splints.

Outer tie rod, bent spindle, broken crank pulley....ya... you heard that right.

New crank pulley goes on this week, gotta find a new spindle and order up a few more tie rods.

.........You've already heard my comments... just tell yourself a few of those and call it a day.

Next time i take it out I promise to go easy and i'll try and keep it in one piece for more than a few hours.

breaking things is just an excuse to make them stronger, so go ***** out until you have an indestructible buggy

Yes... pismo

And the only time nothing broke was gorman. One of these days the front end is getting air shocks, rack and pinion steering and upgraded spindles, but that will probably run me into the 2g's for just the front end... so for now, stock replacement parts go back on and i'll be running again for under 100

Next time I go out I think it will be for my 21st....which means parents/brothers might be going, and they are all going to want rides. I cant break it the first few hours out there....

But I tell myself i'll take it easy every time I go out... and you know how that is
