Chevy Parts in a Ranger? New sub box too!

I pulled these from an S10, they now reside in my truck. I actually got the idea to put them in my truck when I pulled a S10 into the shop at work. I like the light down by the pedals. I have one on the the passengers side but the bulb is burnt out.

I also decided to rebuild my sub box, for the 4th time, or is this the 5th, I don't remember any more. Started from scratch this time. It fits perfectly behind the seat so that it can still be fully reclined. I also have access to the cubby back there to get the Jack out.

That sub box set up is sick.

I am in the market for a setup and I might do what you did.

If you look under where the sub is you can see a piece of wood. Its mounted to that. And if any of you are thinking of breaking into my truck to steal my stuff. The sub is 16 years old and the amp is a really really cheap 300W amp I paid $30 for it.

It sounds AMAZING! It hits hard!

I love having that shelf back there. I built the first one back there right after I got the truck. Then I got rid of it to put my 2 subs in. Then I went back to having one, and now I have the best of both worlds.

I so want to do the lights on the floor mod. How'd you wire them up?

And I like that shelf too.

The lights are just wired into the same wire as the dome light. They come on when the door is opened or the dimmer switch is all the way up.

Mounting them was really easy, since they had the mount and screw and everything. I just found a couple preexisting holes and used those.

Pulling them from the s10 is sooo simple. 8mm or 5/16" socket. Go under the steering wheel pull the 2 bolts that hole on the kick panel. Then unscrew the mount and pull them out.

That's a neat lil mod with the lights. I don't the the JY around me has any S10's but if they do I wll have to rember to get a set today. The sub box and shelf is awesome. I want to build a shelf for my truck but have it about level with the back of the center arm rest. What measurement's did you use to cut the board? I am too lazy to measure my back area.
