Three link. Got it.

I would build it out of the strongest material possible, so 1/4". That is one part that I would not want to fail. I'm sure 3/16" could hold up fine, but for this part I would go overkill.

That is what I think too, probably get the 1/4" because they have it in stock too. but its $132 for a piece 70" long.

I am working on getting all the steel in the next few days, going to weld on a bulkhead to the back of the frame where my tube will all start and the links. I cant decide if I want a 1/4" or a 3/16" wall (8x3) tube.

What do you all think? 1/4" wall or 3/16" wall
you know my answer.. 1/4" or 3/8"

I know what your talkin about, its how my Axial is setup.

Ouch!

Why not build your bulkhead out of tube and plate? I bet you could get a few feet of 1 3/4" 4130 and a piece of 1/4" plate for less than what the piece is going to cost.

Gotcha! Man I wish I had my own place. I'd love to grab that bed from ya for an off the wall project.

Oh, I thought you were just going to have a cage back there and the bed was a thing of the past. My bad. Dang, now you've really got me wondering how this is going to look.
