Deleted bumper and fog light mod.... aka being backed into.

Well, some blind idiot backed into me the other day.. and bent my bumper brackets all to hell. so i decided to go the cash route versus insurance.. basically he paid me out in cash and im goign to buy a steel bumper :) Soooo in the mean time, painted up the frame and got her all prepped... i kinda like it... looks mean

PS. i may get some new fogs, can i just cut the stock plug ends off and splice right onto the stock fog light wires? that way my switch and everything is still intact and easy!

Anyway onto the pics.

I thought it was a muscular cat... lol.

Sounds like it may work out well for you in the end! Is the cash that you got out of the guy enough to cover the bumper?

That does look mean! Yeah, you can splice into the original wiring since the factory wiring is routed through a relay. Just make sure to use shrink tubing or something to make it water proof. It is cool that at least you got money for your troubles instead of a hit and run!

I plugged my aftermarket lights directly into my factory fog light wires. No splicing was needed.

you might want to beef up the wiring on your stock fog wires. I ran 2 hella 500's w/100 w bulbs and it melted something somewhere. Although it would probably be fine on 50w bulbs haha. Luckily my wiring for my hellas was still there from when I had a stock bumper and fogs.

That possibility crossed my mind as well after I installed mine. I think the stock wires will be fine with 55 watt bulbs, though.

Cash is the way to go, that way you can do what you want instead of ICBC doing what they want. While your at it you should toss some coilovers under there.

I melted a wire with 100W bulbs in my 500FF's. I beefed up the wiring and haven't had a problem since

FWIW, I'm running 55w fog lights on stock harness and i've not had a problem.
you can clip the ends, you just have to make sure you have the right positive and negative and junk.
Custom by Crunch, I like it.
