Nice truck! My uncle has an avalanche with the 5.3 and he gets 21 on the highway. They are very nice trucks overall. Definitely an improvement over the Dodge.

Nice truck. I like the fact that it has a manual transfer case.
Does it have the Gov-Loc? I like the G80 in my dad's Silverado more than the Ford LS in my F-250. Positive lock up is a great thing when a tire comes off the ground.

BTW... I've been seeing a lot of non-Ranger posts here lately. And, that's fine by me.

Good lookin truck. I like that the rear bench seat folds up so you still have room to put there back there.

Thanks for the comments everybody.

After today, I am definitely liking this truck. I had to do a lot of driving for work, and it's just so much nicer not having to shift when going through town. And getting up to highway speeds is way easier.

There are a few things that I may change later on, like power windows, but my only real complaint that I don't know if there is a fix for is the turning radius. Maybe I am just used to having a single cab short box, but this thing is like trying to turn the Titanic in the Nile!

And I know a lot of you want to pick on me for getting a Chevy. Do not fret, though, as my dad has been doing it non stop.

I guess I made my mom jealous, because she took her mustang down to trade it on a truck herself :(. I'm really gonna miss her stang. Not even sure what she's getting, but I have a feeling it's a Chevy too.

I'm going to do some work to the truck this weekend, so expect a ton of pictures. Better ones, of course.

Now I don't have to give you a hard time about the bumper. You need this hood on the truck Shane posted your truck.

Nice truck.

Get rid of the mudflaps and get more aggressive wheels and tires.

Nice truck, I like those body styles. I was looking at those several times before I got my FX4. I was looking at Z71s with 5.3s. Those are good trucks, and a tiny part of me once and a while questions if I should have got one but oh well too late now.

So you chose the chevy because your toolbox fits it? lol

Yup. That the only reason I chose it.

Thanks again everybody for the comments, good or bad.

I took some more pictures. A few of the only trouble spots I have found on the truck, and just a couple of randoms.

I'm gonna be talking to my buddy this weekend about his wheels and tires (33's on 18's), and also about a grill guard that he has stored here at my house. Other then that, though, I don't know if I'm going to do much to the truck other then drive it.

Nope. Waiting for a weekend that I'm not working to mess with it. I could mess with it right now, but I don't really feel like it, lol.
