F150 Raptor
I would get one too and use it. Most of today's buyers buy things to show off. So 4wd just to say they got it. Can they use it? Nope.
also you gotta factor in weight, diesels are heavy lil ****ers. weight is a race cars/trucks worst enemy.
plus you want horsepower, torque gets you goin but HP keeps you goin. you can build a gasser to rap up way higher and MUCH MUCH quicker.. meaning you get power sooner which means you accelerate quicker.
Ever seen a KORE Cummins? those are ballin
Hmm. I forgot about them. I'm sure they built the engine specifically for that use. I doubt Ford will do that.
I read an article on the Raptor, it's a cool concept. Good looking truck. But like a few have said just to much plastic, and to much of a asking price for the hard working middle class! But that Blue is an amazing color!
just badassafied by Kore and custom shops
Ford did have plans to have a 4.5L (I think) diesel in the F150 by 2010 but I think the idea got put on hold with the economy in the sh!tter.
Now of course you can build a long travel 4x4 F150 with better shocks and better components, but the whole idea behind the raptor is a badass truck that no other manufacturer matches, straight off the show room floor.
If I was loaded, maybe I would do something like this...

Yeah there is that too, I love it. The only thing I don't like (on all the 09+) is the top of the tailgate area.
Agreed. It doesnt seem to flow with the rest of the lines of the truck
the cool thing about the raptor is that it comes with all those mods factory and a warranty, unlike if you buy a F-150 then throw a LT kit on it... just sayin... but I agree with a lot of you guys that price tag is a lil steep.
Here is a crappy picture of the new Halery 150.

, along with the great looking Mexico Lincoln LT.
