Fergus Truck Show and Lil Red's Pulling Debut
Lil Red's Pulling Debut at the Fergus Truck Show
I was at the Fergus truck show this weekend. Saw some amazing big rigs, some awesome pull trucks and tractors, and even got my first pull in ever. It was a 6000lbs class, trucks had to be less than 6000lbs and the start weight on the sled was 6000lbs with a 320' full pull line, the sled was geared down a bit it only increased about 2.5x its weight by the 320' mark. So here it is, my attempt at the EXECUTIONER

I weighted in at 4320lbs, the lightest in the class and I pulled 193', came in third last which I was surprised about. I beat a 1/2 tonne Dodge 4 door 4x4 that pulled 107' and a Chevy 2500 that blew a drive shaft u joint on his launch.
It was mainly 3/4s that were pulling and a couple 1/2s and I was the only 1/4 lol. Maybe before next year I can get a few upgrades and an extra couple of pounds of weight and maybe I can get to the 250' mark.
And heres just some other cool pics from the show

This tractor was the only one in the class. He had a 1200cc honda motorcycle engine in it but broke something after about 120'

Thanks man. I've seen a 4x4 pull before so I thought I might be able to do alright with the gearing and limited slip but I would have been better in maybe a 5000lbs class but they didn't have one this year.
That old f-150 is sweet. I love the look of them. That old COE and some of the other rigs are sweet too.
I'm guessing 4.10s in your truck?
Keep us posted next year. I'd like to make the trip. Does it cost to enter?

Wirelessly posted (Droid2)
Looks like alot of fun. I've seen a few Rangers pull at the local tractor pull a few years back, but they didn't do as well as yours. It'd be neat if they had a 1/4 ton class.

I'll keep ya posted for next year its a good show every year, not as great this year but still good, and also saw Emerson Drive play.
A 1/4 ton class would be pretty sweet, maybe pulling 4500lbs I might have had a better chance, but maybe with a few upgrades and some more weight in the back of my truck I might be able to show up some more of the 1/2 tons anyway. I didnt think that a 3/4 2500 gm or dodge would be under 6000lbs tho unless thats not how judge for the class?
