I was out playing with the axial last week and decided to take a few pics while i was out..

truck looks good, you need a beefy front bumper to match the rear

bingo! well that's my guess too

the rear bumper is getting cut off, and the frame shortened up how ever much i can hack off up to the shackle mounts. then i'll do something like i have on the front, just a piece of 2x4x.250 wall then wrap some tubing around the bottom of the bed like Zach.

The front is gonna look a bit like this.


yea, its REALLY low. and it makes for a wicked playground with the RC crawler

I just wish it was clear. I have one more cool picture in mind, but i need to get my rock lights working again.. I think i went a little crazy with the wire cutters when we were tearing the truck down for the SAS.

 

Looks good! Truck is dirty beyond belief, time for a wash lol. Is that rust all over it too?

 

there's nothing but some surface rust on the frame.

on the roof and cowl there's still lots of metal shavings from being in a fab shop for over a month having all the metal shavings fall on it..

and its not that dirty, thats about as clean as that truck gets! I spent a few bucks and washed it off once i got back to texas before i unloaded it.


(no thats not how it was secured for the final journey)

I should, Tim (diesel ranger)said he's gonna take his in for the clattering, bad vibrations and the works


My front end rides very nice, despite what everone said about the front shackle.. the bad part is the ~1" of up travel so any dip or bump worth a damn makes the axle hit the bump stop, and thats the rough part.

 

I miss 2222, lake travis, and the pennybacker bridge!

god damn I wanna live in austin.. but then again I dont, lol.

try 2222 at 80mph yet?

I miss the stuff to do in Austin but I don't miss taking a hour to go 10 blocks.

 

well i generaly wake up after rush hour, and i'm back home after driving around all morning before the afternoon rush hour hits lol

 

hah I had fun on 2222 when I had to go out that way a couple of weeks ago, some real nice twisties! Good to see some updated pics, looks good man.
