a few pictures, new 35's, the truck, etc..

I took a couple of pictures of the crap i got laying around for my truck..

35 BFG KM2's on MT 15x10 wheels

Superlift, Moog suspension parts, Ingalls alignment kit, lug nuts, etc..

and..

That's the new wheels and tires, sitting next to my stock truck, pretty goofy looking.I gotta get the damn thing jacked up

I can't wait for some decent weather so i can get after installing it all. I still need to get my body lift, so i can do the Superlift and Body Lift hopefully in the same week.

I hate to have parts just laying around. It's going to look good! What are you doing for gears?

hey thanks guys! I am pretty amped on getting it all together.

about the gears, sadly i have 3.73 L/S gears in the diffs now, but on the upside of things, it's not my daily driver. I have a old 93 B2200 that I drive on a daily basis. So, I'm going to get it all jacked up, get everything together, and I'm sure i'll drive it around town here and there, but won't be driving it too much until I get a gear swap. I don't know, either 4.56 or 4.88. I haven't made up my mind entirely yet. I do a mixture of city and highway driving, probably 4.56's is what I'll end up doing.

I'd go with 4.88's if I were you.

You think 4.88s Tom? Yeah, I have a little bit of time to think on it, I hope to have it all geared and lifted this spring.

Definitely 4.88s.
That truck is going to be miserable to drive with 3.73s.

I was going to use 4.56's with my 31's and 3.0 on my old truck. I sold them to a guy doing a BL and 33's. If he's using 4.56's for 33's, I would definately go with 4.88's.

As I said earlier though, get to work right meow! Damn teaser threads...

i think 4.88's are overkill... i've got 4.10's with 31"'s and when i go to 33's i'm not re-gearing... i want the top end for the hiway... i hate my RPM/speed 130km/h at just below 3000 rpm

Obviously you haven't learned about re-gearing. If you wanted to keep the same gearing as stock (4.10s and 31" tires) with 35" tires, you would use a 4.63 ratio which doesn't exist. So 4.56 is a higher gearing and you would be getting less power to the ground, not even factoring in the extra drag and extra rolling mass of the bigger/heavier tires. On top of that, the difference between 4.56 and 4.88 gears is only a couple hundred RPM at freeway speed.
4.10 gear and 33s will work okay for you though, for what it's worth.

To the original poster, I'm assuming you have a 4.0L (?) which in your year would be the OHV version. You could go with either gearing in that engine and it should work okay in reality. But I still think going to 4.88s would be better over 4.56, especially if you have another daily driver.
