Finished 4/5 drop.....love it! (56k no!)

Just finished the 4/5 drop and I love it! Final alignment has been done and everything is back together except for the sway bar. Hopefully I will figure out what to do with that within the next couple of weeks, then I can ***** my truck out for some more pics even though she will look exactly the same. Haha.

yeah, but I know nothing about i-beam suspensions and very little about control arm suspensions. This was all luck that everything fit together, haha.

The trans x-member I got from Mike @ Dallas Hotrod Parts, I know no one likes him on RPS, but I didn't have any problems getting the x-member. It came with the bolts and he has a detailed write-up on his website.

thanks Zabeard, I've always been a fan of your truck. The rear are 275/45R20 and the fron are 255/30R20 and the ride is actually not bad. At highway speeds it is very comfortable and quiet, I love it.

I know no one likes the valance. Short story, I made it by hand, then it got bent out of shape while I was doing my engine swap and I haven't thought about it since. The primer is coming off and it is starting to rust. I will probably re-do the entire front end eventually, including headlights, grille, valance, etc.

Smakes - I didn't know u live in Upland, damn I was born in Upland. I come up to see my grandmother every 3 or 4 months and she lives in Glendora....not that far away. I will probably be coming up for Labor Day weekend, r u gonna be in town?

Sweet man! Get the rear done! I want to see it with all 4 new wheels/tires on it!.

Oh, and please ditch that valance. I like the truck, with the exception of that valance..

I'm thinking deep dark cherry red....so dark that it almost looks black, but that will be the very last thing I do.

don't hold your breath, haha, and my front end won't be nearly as awesome as yours.

I just try to avoid holes or bumps in the ride while I'm driving, so I'm usually swerving from side to side in the lane cuz the roads are crap. I mostly worry about dips and washes, if I take them too fast I will scrape the fender well, I've accidentally done it a few times already. I'm sure everyone behind me is pissed cuz I go so damn slow, but oh well.

Yes, but I have such a long list of stuff to get through before I can even consider a paintjob. Even once I'm ready for paint, it will take me a few weeks to find a good shop.

Hell yeah, these desert sunsets are gorgeous. I drove about 50 miles yesterday trying to find any spot with a good background. It was also nice cuz the clouds were rolling in to bring some rain.

its not rust, I was heating up the fender with a rose bud so that I can roll the fenders. Can u believe that the bed did not align perfectly with the wheels while it is aligned with the cab and frame? The driver side wheel well has plenty of room, but the pass side needed me to make some extra room so I don't rub.
