Don''t worry man, I will, I was thinking about cutting right after the muffler but my buddy told me it causes problems because the engine needs back pressure and that takes away, plus then it gets too loud in the cab. Is that true?
And about painting the cross member....what is that? lol sorry.

YES. You can cut the tailpipe off behind the muffler...you have 4 freakin' cats....there's already LOTS of backpressure in front of those. Dumped exhaust is what i've been rockin' for over a year now and MANY MANY people run the same.
Alright, Ill cut it off right after the muffler. I am going to ask the guy down the street to cut and weld my hitch, he welds for a living.
So the cross member is what the tow hooks attatch to? Can I just spray some black rustoleum in there or does it have to be sanded and prepared? doesnt rustoleum stick to anything? I was thinking about just spraying the exposed part of the frame too.

you are gonna need to sand those bumper brackets....sand the zinc coating off of them. Paint dont like to stick to 'em I've found, unless you sand 'em. I used bedliner in a can on mine and the crossmember.
I power washed off all my mud, haha. I dont remember what grit paper but any thing thats not to fine, maby 120? as long as you scuff up what is on there and try to get off most the rust. then wash clean and spray.
