Waht are the wires hanging out of your grill?

 

How much wider is the front axle? Is that a problem? i know the long trave IFS trucks have are wider in the front, but for a SFA, is that what you want? Just wondering...

its a disconnect for the power wires to my winch

i need to put some sort of a disconnect on one of the wires since it goes straight to my battery and if i **** someone off they could easily short my battery out.

I took it out on some rocks and dirt tonight.. man does that ***** really flex!

+1 for stock waggy springs. The pics are on my phone and some chicks phone, who knows when i'll get that. and idk how to get them from my phone to the computer

But i'm going to go back friday when its still day light outside and bring my real camera, only problem is i lost a bump stop.. so idk how much i'll be stuffing the driverside tire


i KNEW i should have bolted them on.. now its gonna be a ***** and 3 quarters to drill the 2x4 out.

 

You mean your welds arn't good enough to hold a bump stop on?

 

haha, it was with a friggin arc welder and the rubber was catching on fire. so i just tacked them... learned that lesson


the shackles and intermediate shaft and spring perches are still goin strong!



any ideas on how to drill a hole when you only have a few inches of clearance? I think i may have to cut the welds on the little drop bracket i made to attach the bump stops too.

I'll get some tomorrow, i can try flexing it out but its still a tight squeeze and I have to drill a 1/2" hole in 1/4" thick material.

 

ok, meet at the park and you can ride on the trails, it doesn't have much damage yet so i'll be taking it kinda slow.. once it gets some major damage and I give up on the body, thats when you should worry about your life insurance

 

Do you have access to a torch or a plasma? Just blow a hole right through it if all you're using it for is a bump stop bolt.

once I get home I'll have my torch again and that thought has crossed my mind.. i just want a bump stop on there for the trailer ride home depending on how it gets secured, but if i ordered them now i wouldn't have them in time so I'll have to stick something else in there.

I'm heading back out tomorrow morning, maybe I'll get lucky and see it, but I doubt it.


These bump stops are also getting put to use a lot more than the average bump stop due to my low ride height. I would prefer to bolt it then stitch weld it.. but I don't have access to a MIG anymore
