Ford content: New project.

Meet my new project. I haven't come up with a name for it yet, but I'll give you some stats after the pics:

It's an 89 with the 7.5 rear end, and it does have a locker. Not sure which one yet as I haven't gotten all the paperwork yet (supposed to get it this weekend, but I was also supposed to get the vehicle LAST weekend, and I got it today!). I have the doors for it, but not the hatch, and I was told that the fenders might be MIA. Not a big deal because I know some places to pic some parts off of some B2's. Oh, and I got it for $80, LOL!

Now, I haven't fully decided what I want to do yet. I could do a rear end swap with the Ranger, and put the tires from the B2 on it also, as they are almost new. OR, I could build this up to be my wheeler, and have the Ranger be the street queen that I've always wanted it to be. Either way, I plan on gutting the interior, cleaning everything, and then putting it back together.

The engine DOES run, and the transmission DOES shift smoothly, but it hasn't ran in a year. My cousin is the person I bought it from, and while it looks like it is beaten to ****, the only reason it has mud all in the interior was because he lent it to a buddy of his for a bit, and the dumbass tore it apart and beat the crap out of it for the month or so he had it. My cousin checked everything though, and aside from a lifter tick, everything's good.

If I do decide to use it as a wheeler, I plan on a BL and a 4 inch SL.

And yes, I know I haven't updated anything on the Ranger. I have the parts for it, just waiting until I can get my own place. I'm pretty close to finding a house.

I'm also moving back in with my parents for a couple of months to make sure I got enough saved up for a down and a few payments, AND some remodeling money. The houses I have been looking at need some updating, but that's what I wanted anyway.

Yeah, I wouldn't say they are very pretty, but they aren't horrible.

Yeah, the only thing I really don't like about them is the side glass rolling up towards the roof. If they made it like the full size Bronco windows it wouldn't be as bad.

I LOVE that color combo. I really need to find a b2 or another ranger this year for a winter beater/ dd.

I'd call it the B2 stealth bomber.

While I do agree that it will outperform the Ranger, the Ranger was my very first pickup that I bought. I had another one that was given to me, but I only drove it once to take it to trade it in, lol. The green thing is a little more sentimental.

I looked it over today really good. There is a lot of things I gotta do.

Lots of vacuum lines are unplugged or gone completely, the intake needs a REALLY good cleaning, and it looks like the coil is gone. The headlight bulbs were broken out rather then pulled out, and there are two plug ins on either side that I'm not quite sure have a purpose.

On the inside, the interior is absolutely filthy, the center console is broken, the dash is a mess as far as wiring goes, there are some plastic covers missing in the back and the headliner is tattered.

As far as the body goes, I'll have to find a new hatch and a new hood. I haven't heard about the fenders yet, and the doors need some work. If I do decide to put a little extra money into the body, I'll be painting it basically the same color scheme but flat colors instead to keep it on the cheap.

My main thing right now is getting the Ranger running. I have some of the parts, but I definitely need more then what I thought, lol.

I don't need either places. There is a junk yard here that specializes in Ford products, so I can get parts here.
