Freshly waxed pics... lots of them!

Before anyone asks... I used:

Meguiars NXT car wash
Meguiars clay bar kit w/ Meguiars Quik Detailer
Meguiars Ultimate Compound
Meguiars ScratchX
Meguiars NXT 2.0 wax
Meguiars Supreme Shine wipes (no interior pics though!)
Meguiars NXT Rubber/Vinyl Protectant on floor
Meguiars Hot Tire Foam
Meguiars Gold Class Trim Detailer
Meguiars Glass Cleaner
Meguiars foam & microfiber applicators
Meguiars Supreme Shine microfiber towels
Extang Tonno Tonic

I like Meguiars. lol

I did a few other things as well... installed a set of Grand Marquis horns. Easy to do - just cleaned them up and bolted the GM bracket onto the stock Ranger bracket and wired them up. Finally that wimpy horn is gone and it now sounds like it should!

I bedlined the safari bar again and repainted the grille satin black. You can also see my black/gray rear emblem overlay and my new 21" stainless steel black powdercoated antenna.

On with the pics!

Reflection pic... the hood was almost too distracting while driving!

Horn pics!

Your truck is one of my favs on RF. The black billet makes it.

Is the a dual tone horn or something? What kind is it?

Quite a bit louder... and a lot deeper sound. Much more manly than the stock one!
I got it out of a 94ish Grand Marquis that we used in a derby. Anything will really work though that has a high and a low... or just buy a new low note horn and wire it in with your stock one.

Thanks! Not the whole truck... lol but quite a bit of it! It had quite a few deeper scratches on the box from loading brush, etc into it. That and a few years of ice scraping and brushing snow off the truck.

lol thanks! I applied everything by hand. I need to get myself a buffer as it should really speed things up! Too many other things on the go being a homeowner and all but I know you know all about that now too!

The Ultimate Compound works great! I also sometimes use SwirlX but I skipped it this time and went straight to the compound. Definitely try to get some of the NXT car wash... it's awesome stuff!
