Yay for 1354 Manual Shift! I love mine. So so so easy to shift from 4LO to other places.

Do it. It's the most worthwhile "mod" I have done to my truck. Fab one bracket and bolt the rest of the stuff in.

And durability is great. I have my manual shift transfer cab and manual hubs so I probably won't break too much.

nope. it does get hot without the inspection cover on the trans tunnel though...but only before I put the console back in it. The console catches the exhaust heat before it gets to me.

But...having all but the vinyl or carpet in...it doesn't get hot at all.

I can tell by the hole in the side of the RCM cover that it came from Bob's truck, then mine, then Lefty's, then Scott's, now yours! It been around more than a cheap hooker!

HAHA..yup. What is that hole for anyway? Anyone know? The truck I got the shifters out of didn't have that hole thing. And NO I could not grab that plastic from the truck....I merely took those 'aftermarket shifters' off his hands and replaced them with stock shifters... hehe.

When Bob sent the cover to me he said he had drilled the hole to install some sort of switch. I didn't need the hole so I glued a piece of plastic in there to keep the white padding stuff from showing through.

ohhh...gotcha. All I know, is I've got a piece of Ranger history on my truck now, and that same piece of history, has been passed around like the head cheerleader did in her senior year. And I'm not one bit disappointed. haha.

I may mod it a little bit to fit the floor level...right now it doesn't. well..having a bent up inspection cover sure dont help things either. haha.
