Get up and go (mustang content)

Well I picked up an 8.8 for the mustang. Got it from a buddy of mine
for FREE. This free stuff is working out GREAT!

The notch has 2.73's in it right now, which is great for mileage. I just got 23.95 going from My house up to Ft Worth and back. Which is pretty good. But unfortunatley, it's not great for the power department.

I've gotta go through it. Going to change wheel bearings, control arm bushings. I've got new brakes to put on it. Fill her up with some royal purple, and bolt her up.

Awesome. Hoping I can do the same to my 91 hatchback only with 4.10's and disc brakes after I get my 6 speed put in.

Andy 4.10's if it was a track car....not a street car. Still gotta get some driveability.

Brian, yep you'll be good to go being you have a 6spd.

I would put in a 8.8 instead of wasting money on a 7.5 gearset

Yeah 4.10's are a bit much in my by. If I had a 6spd it would be great. 3.73 is what I'd go with on a manual mustang.

Trevor, no way this is my daily, and I have to have some driveability....3.55's will do just fine thank you. 4.10's and above would turn a ridiculous RPM on the freeway. Not my thing. @ 75 with 2.73's I was turning 1800 rpms in 5th. So with the 3.55's it will be just about right.

Well got the axles out, and found the bearings is shoddy shape. Oil seals were really brittle. The gears and cross pin looked good. Anyway I started workin on cleaning it up here's the diff cover before and after:
