I grew up down here and my family had a very large land development company. I remember when 45th st and 95 was a swamp. Hell, we developed the land for 95 from PGA to Ft. Pierce. There just isn't anywhere to go anylonger.

 

ugh i was only down there for 4 months and i kinda miss it. im thinkin bout takin the fiance back down n go down for a weekend.

That my friend, was a really long time ago! I remember when Okeechobee Blvd. was just a four lane after the Turnpike.

HAHA. I remember when they were widening that to 4 lanes then to 6.

 

i haven't been here as long as you bob (i'm 20). but i remember riding my bike on southern BLVD between haverhill and jog. now it's what, like a 8 lane super highway out west.

 

Pretty crazy how things change so much.

There are two short, but decent trails just off of that spot you were doing donuts in. It has been a long time since I've been on them. I tried to go last summer when I was down, but there was to much water to get to it.
