just picked up a 2010 f150 xlt 4x4 regular cab short box with only 18,000km. put a leer contractors cap on it and now its my work truck. my 2011 manual fx4 is now just a toy, lift and tires soon :)

 

So did they give you a good price for the Ranger? What dealer is it at so I can go buy it

 

Hell no lol. But talked em down from 14 to 13k on this truck. Book value was 15. So I'm satisified with that.

That sounds pretty good, you just delete the muffler? The 5.4 sounds killer piped.

 

Yep! Watched a lot of YouTube videos before I did to make sure it didn't sound too choppy or raspy

 

Always loved that ranger man. I think you made a good purchase. I have now found out the problems with the 04-08s on mine. My 07 with 40,000 miles just had a new transmission, transfer case motor, IWE hub, and hub actuator put in. Not to mention the cam phasers, fpdm, spark plugs, and the rest of the 4 wheel drive system problems that this generation has. Needless to say, "built ford tough" does not apply to my truck. Hate to say it, but a silverado might be my next truck.
Love the sound of the 5.4l. If you ever decide to change from straight pipes, i highly recommend the 3" MBRP XP series exhaust. Lifetime warranty, full stainless, looks great, and sounds awesome.

Thanks man! I have been posting on there only, seem to get good feedback and very quickly at that. Sucks about your truck. I like the silverados too. But couldn't find any decently optioned ones here.
