Not sure how you get "kit" out of bb turbo either. It stands for ball bearing lol.

Yes 1/4 mile.

Don't doubt it. He has an srt4 just like you pushing roughly 550hp also.

You gotta remember how much torque that diesel can throw down on top of the almost 700hp

thats fast as hell...my buddy has a 08 6.4 with spartan 350 horse tune, aftermarket torque converter, intake, head studs, 5 inch straight-pipe turbo back, and a upgraded fuel system and he ran a 13.7.....and thats going 120+ mph at the end of it. and those trucks come with really good injectors and turbos ect. from the factory, he dyno'd it and was somthing along the lines of like 750hp an 1500+tq....but if that guy can run a 12.1 than thats sick....id live to see a vid of it.....this was apperantly the first guy under 11...and thats with a way lighter truck..

Eric Eldreth from Innovative Diesel Performance broke the 6.0L Power Stroke record with his regular cab race truck over the weekend with a 10.88 and a 10.85. Yes there was nitrous involved, so don't be dummies and ask lol. First stage was a .078 jet and the second stage was a .105 jet. This is the first 6.0L truck to go under 11.000 in the 1/4 mile so it is a big achievement for the Power Stroke world!

I dont doubt what it can or cannot do. Im just disputing that a turbo kit doesnt make it a built truck. Thats all Im saying.

I sold my neon saturday lol

now you said dp tuner... thats one tuners for the 7.3 motor.. and i remember you posting in another thread that it was a 7.3.. im not trying to dispute you.. but ive never seen a 7.3 make a 12.1 in the quarter mile with such little mods. does he have built internals? how bigs the fuel system? how bigs the injectors?

also just by looking at the truck. it looks like an 05-07. now i know he could have done the 05 conversion..ive seen it done alot.. but he changed all his badges, wired up lighted mirrors..

one thing tho, which helps me believe that its either a 7.3 or early 6.0 is the front suspension.. it would have been leaf springs, but thats a custom coil setup and looks nothing like the 05 up front suspension.

again. im not trying to dispute your claims or anything. but i find it hard to believe that a 7.3 will run 12.1 in a quarter mile.. its expensive to make the 7.3 go fast and i just dont think he has enough into the motor to be that fast, just by looking at the mods your posting.

what injectors and turbo.... that build alone is not a 700hp build...barring that its not a built b code injector and like a gt 47..but still he would need water/meth injection and some other things. my best friend has a buisseness building powerstrokes... his is built... he has roughly the same build and has huge injectors and a 38R turbo. and was only pushing 500hp. wont doubt that its not built. wont doubt that it is infact a fast truck. but its pretty damn hard to push a diesel to do a 12.1 that is streetable and lifted.

also what year is that truck?

i think his new tire combo will look MUUUUCHH better than his others. get pic and post when you guys do

6.4's are one of the easiest motors to mod...spratan tune, intake and a 100hp injector and u gots a fast tuck!

not a turbo kit, no kit comes with head studs and injectors unless its in a bundle....

i agree with you on the first part for sure..

and yeah the hoop through me off. i was like loooking at it and was like.. hmm. well ok. anyways. i just searched youtube for 12 second powerstrokes and i only found a 6.4..and i think he was running spray and only hit 12.4. id like to see some of the work your buddy does if you have any pictures, pm or something if you want. if the op can get a picture of the dash, then its an easy way to tell what year the truck is. i honestly doubt hed go through the trouble of swapping in an 05-07 dash.

I dont own a 7.3 so I wouldnt know what would come with a kit for one...but with my other 2 turbo cars, they sell kits or 'bundles' that would include that stuff. Either way, I wasnt trying to dispute that aspect of it, just the fact that people call cars/trucks 'built' when all it has is a larger turbo with supporting mods

considering the magority of people with diesel's just strap on a turbo with a canned remap (why bother calling it a tune) and an intake and exahust and call it fast is a joke. with the list that was given from the OP it is fairly built. no disputing it. head studs are usually there for a reason on any turbo app if they were not factory, bigger tubro's too. same with injectors. you can put a big turbo on and run it stock no problem. its all in the fuel to run it right, thus the bigger injectors. i wouldnt call injectors a supporting mod, but with the good inectror turbo combo it can make a big good difference. even with a stock trubo and slightly bigger injectors.

the diesel world is a little different than rice land
