Well I received a set of 5k HID headlights for a wedding present from a friend. Thought I'd never own a set as many have heard me complain before.. Well I couldn't stand the fact that my fogs were still halogen, so I bought a set for the fogs. I just went with Xentec as that's what he got me. So far so good! If they ever go out, ill upgrade to a better brand (im not here to argue brands, but I have no complaints thus far! i actually love them and cant believe i bitched about them!
no wiring at all, just plug and play. you just have to find a place to mount ballasts, here is a how-to:

when I hooked the fogs up, the issue went away! But Trent recommended that I put a relay kit on it to make sure they get even voltage and all so ill throw one on there
Have you already done the fog light mod so they stay on with brights? I honestly never turn my brights on... I just use them to flash people... which is know is not good for them. I also live in a city, so brights are not necessary.
A relay is a really good idea. I used the relay provided with my kit. When i hooked up my bi-xenon the High beam indicator was slightly illuminated. Then when I installed the fogs with the relay the issue was gone. Could be the same thing not sure.
A lot of people will debate the HID's in stock housings. It seems like most people eliminate glare by adjusting the headlights down.

Well I havnt had anyone flash their lights at me or anything. I still have the same "beam" pattern really.
I dunno if its just me but it seems like everyone has that one random beam of light on both sides... Does anybody else have that with stock housings? lol.. Ill have to get a pic if ppl dont understand what im talking about lol
Glad you like em Scott. I still cant get myself to do it, I just am not a fan of the HID's and I absolutely hate the bright HID colors that you see most of the time. Mine have to be atleast white if not even more to the yellowish white side. Once it gets into the white/blueish spectrum like most of em are, it just eats at me.
Im glad you dont get flashed, because I literally get into it with people alot because im lifted on 33's, and before anyone asks, yes my headlights are aimed and if anything I feel like its still just as bad because before atleast they would shine over the cars, now being aimed down they go right in the rear glass of small cars. I try to turm my lights off at stops and at redlights, but hell even today on the highway the car in front of me on the highway turns around and flicks me off and I wasnt even on her ***, she was probably a good 6-10 truck lengths in front of me. So acourse I light her *** up with my brights and offroad lights and she decided to never make that mistake again. I couldnt imagine if I got HID's, but people need to understand its freaking common sense, if the truck is lifted especially bigger trucks, and you drive some gay *** small car, expect to have some lights shining in the rear windows. Flip your rearview mirror control, thats why they put it there. I have literally almost got into a fight numerous times from someone following me home or trying to pull over, and then when i get out with my 12 gauge resting on my shoulder they speed off real fast and look back at me like im the retarded/crazy one. Hell even new stock F250 4x4's on decent tires are as tall as me.
