They go on thursday :) anybody have these? and how do you like them? Ive heard good things about them. Doing the rest of my exhaust in the next month or 2, gutting the cats and probably 2.5" pipes from cats back.. hoping to do true duals to either flowmaster super 40's or 44's not sure yet. Might just do a SI/DO if the true duals dont work out

I need to know if these are worth buying!!!! Do you get any real power gains from headers on a 4.0L?

From what I've heard not so much without doing anything else... more sound that anything. Once you were to combine them with the rest of the exhaust, intake and tune I think you'd get a whole lot more out of it.

I definately plan on doing the full exhaust very soon, and already have the intake. The main reason im doing headers first is mainly to get them out of the way because i heard their a pain in the **** to install.. lol but definately looking forward to the sound difference, im tired of driving a truck i cant even hear :P 5.0 next? haha

Headers make it sounds -good-! They are a PITA to install, but once they are in you dont have to worry about them again.. I enjoy mine greatly, and it does set off the sound of the truck quite a bit differently then a stock one sounds

i have the ceramic coated ones on my truck and they have been on there for 5 years now and they still look new and i have had no leaks. the JBA's are a nice set but the gains and sound i noticed werent worth the price i payed for them. the install wasnt too bad, the egr tube was the biggest pain though, mine wasnt long enough to i had to bend it to get it to line up with the port on the header.

still a change in sound tho? I bought them for gains but if it improves my sound quite a bit over stock that would be awesome too. I know it will change drastically once i do the rest of the exhaust.

What about the sound when I already have a magnaflow catback? Will it sound different? Deeper? Louder?

you arent gonna see any power gains on the a$$ dyno, maybe if you took it in to a shop for a before and after they could print you out the difference as proof but i/h/e is more for sound then power on any motor, more tv hype tellin you that those 3 bolt ons make all the difference just aslong as you add E3 EXTREME HELLA SICKY GNAR DIAMOND FIRE RAPE YOUR SISTERS CHIHUAHUA AND STILL HAVE ENOUGH SPARK TO ADD 20 HP SPARKPLUGS.

Well got the headers installed today.

The Results:

-Didnt notice next to any difference in sound, however i do still have a stock exhaust system with just a flowmaster muffler (soon to change, and do a real system).

-Faster revving, which equals better throttle response.
-More torquey, definately noticeable going up hills.

overall pretty happy with the overall price of what i paid for the things and labour, did way more for my truck than the intake did.. ill be doing my full exhaust system soon to make this all worth it. Any oppinions on a great sounding exhaust are welcome :)
