I bought a bronco
yepper. on a full tank with the top off it got 11 mpg. it was a mix of city and highway.
theres a bad miss when its hot outside. i got plugs and wires ready to go in, but i'm thinking its the ignition box. its got a jacobs ignition box and coil that looks pretty old/worn.
Ah best of luck. I was curious as I'm hoping to find something I can pay cash for before winter, a Ford 4wd that would hopefully get better mileage than my 7.3L.
I was thinking either a 92-96 Bronco/F150 or a 1st Gen Bronco 2, as I've never owned either and would like something different. A clean 92-96 Bronco/F150 isn't really in my price range though, and I wasn't sure it'd even be worth buying as I didnt know if it could match my 7.3L's mileage.
Just stumbled across a '88 B2 that I like the looks of. Price is definitely right, but it sounds like it needs an oil pump.
Hope your mileage gets better though.. Granted, my 7.3L is costlier to maintain AND to fuel up, I'm at least getting 16mpg (when I can keep my foot out of it). Still not knocking off the 17 that I got last summer :( But if a Bronco can only get 11mpg or similar, I'd save my money, look elsewhere, or just drive my truck in the winter salt (major cringe).
I like the looks of yours though, and thought it'd be awesome to pull the top off and go cruise this summer.
