finally bit the bullet, got 3 cans of plasti dip...and went to town

started off with the hood, but i got bored quickly so i did my rims





this morning, got bored more...took my flares off and painted the bumper

then all hell broke loose and i did my flares and back bumper

 

The painted bumpers make it look like an XLT base model. The wheels and hood look fine but not a fan of the bumpers.

 

love the look now! ima laugh when that plastidip starts peeling and flapping off the wheels. next time go hard and use real paint!

 

I've had plasti dip on my wheels since about a week after I bought it. So almost 5 months now and it still looks like when I put it on.

Looks good! The flares look good but I think the bumper looks like a little too much... just my opinion though!

 

Rattle cans are fun. Nice way to get creative and be different.

Downgrading from an Edge to an XLT?

At least it will peel right off

I also just realized you didn't adjust your bumper, look at your gap before and after.

 

idk whats worse. that hick *** front plate or the plastidipped valence

 

come on scott, the plate has to go... just because you are in florida now doesnt mean you need to down grade your class. and im afraid im with pedro, the valence needs to be fixed. flares too

 

I never really liked the look of the edge. The xlt valence always looked better to me. I like the truck a lot man.

Put some emblems on, it looks tacky with giant holes in the fender.

 

I agree. 06+ mirrors and emblems would look great.

 

You need to do the rockers too. It'll tie it in more and not look so off balanced.

 

Your truck looks good; to me, I like the OEM RED all the way setup., the EDGE look.
The black rims and flares look OK but everyone to themselves.
I was thinking about black rims also but now, thanks to you, I will not be doing it.
The hood center strip looks ok too.

The RED grille emblem looks good but don’t over-do the emblems or the size of the emblems like the 06 Ranger Side Emblems. The ’03 OEM Ranger side emblems look clean and simple the 06’s are too big; maybe do a little plasti-dip coating on the 03 type side “Ranger”.

Don’t get carried away with what others have done, use what HAS BEEN DONE as a guide and do your own mods the way you want them to be.
