Latest Mods on Edge

Edge is dusty, but here are pictures of my latest mods. I installed the grille a few months ago and the 2011+ tail lights and hitch this last weekend.

Thanks, will do tomorrow. I was parked close to my fence so that was as far back as I could get when I took the pictures.

The tail lights make a huge difference. I don't like altezza style lights.

I wired up the tail lights different than they are intended. I did not want amber turn signals so I used both clear areas for reverse lights. So I have two 3157 on each side for the running/brake/turn signal and 921 and 3157 on each side for reverse. All light bulbs are Sylvania Silverstar. The reverse set-up is BRIGHT!

First looks good, grille stands out.

Amber lens or clear lens with amber bulbs are safer, more easily seen and IMHO look good.

Thanks!

You might notice my old tail lights also had red turn signals, which was part of my reasoning to stay with them. In order to use the amber turn signals I would have had to separate the circuits and that is more wiring than it is worth for a bulb color change. According to a study by NHTSA, amber rear turn signals may be 5.3% more effective than red turn signals. A 5.3% difference is less than significant and the results are debatable as the study says "may" be more effective.
