Ok, I need some H beams ... thanks for clearing that up. Where did you get those hoist at, and do the rollers that attach to the H beams come with it?

Yeah, that's the kind of lift I'm talking about.(Post some pics and the model # if you can)
12' ceilings are pretty high, the average 2 car garage only has 8' ceilings.

there's a 20' work bench on one side, cabinets on the other side, and 2 stuffed and overflowing tool boxes in the back lol.

My dad who was a structual engineer told me they were H beams... the difference between an I beam and an H beam is the strength of the beam im geussing

http://in.answers.yahoo.com/question...5021646AArEvu4

Im not sure where my dad got the chain falls from. They are made in America, from the 1980's. I actually have more than whats pictured. the trollies slide on the ends, however my dad attached wood blocks to the end of the beams so they wouldnt roll off..

for clarification, the trollies aka chain falls are on I beams however the beams going left to right.. are H beams, theres a total of 4. one on each end, and 2 in the middle... that are held up in the center with 12in steel pipe that sit atop a concrete footer that is 6ft cubed :)

Building is built to go up another 2 stories.
