Hi, I'm new here and have an 1992 ranger extended cab 4x4 (sometimes works) and just bought an 2002 ranger for $200. Yes $200! It needed a starter, the cats unblocked and the engine had a very rough idle and no power. The old owner replace all of the filters, changed the coil, spark plugs wires and spark plugs and then it ran like crap. The truck is stock, almost like it just left the dealership. He did add a receiver hitch to it.
So he gave it to my nieghbors who then sold it to us since they were moving and needed cash and our help to move. Ordered a used starter for $30, unblocked the exhaust and replaced the plugs since they were fouled. Noticed the spark plug wires wasn't in the right order on the coil. Fixed it and now the truck runs great!
Got some very nice bucket seats from a ranger at the local scrap yard for free, well, I have to cook them 2 gallons of my chili (I bring them food and drinks alot to "grease the wheels") going to install them saturday. The 60/40 seats didn't feel comfortable and the driver side had a few rips in it.
So far I have just $250 in to the truck. Here are some pictures....
